"Doesn't just start with me": Myles Garrett Says His Thanks After Unanimous DPOY Victory

The 2025-26 NFL Honors are underway, and Myles Garrett has once again claimed his crown.
The Browns' defensive end has won the Defensive Player of the Year award unanimously, and he is not taking all the credit for it.
"No, it's not possible without them know their blood, their sweat, their tears, everything that we went through. I'm appreciative of that, fellas. Well, Micah, you know, we went through no, they're not off-season. I'm so grateful for y'all have been on another my heels for last I don't know how many years, so I'm grateful for you know, every second we spent together."
It wasn't an easy season for Myles Garrett. Before the 2025 season could even begin, the DE wanted to leave the Browns, and he publicly demanded a release, citing a wish to win the Super Bowl. Though the Browns refused to let him, they signed a contract extension, and months later, Garrett went down in the history books with the sack record.
Garrett also expressed gratitude towards his teammates and all those who took care of him. He also thanked his parents, saying, "I couldn't do without y'all. No, y'all y'all the very best in the world...God have the glory. He's wielded and at the end of day was written." They were so proud of the DE when he broke the sack record.
After he set the record, he ran over to his mother in the stands and hugged her in celebration. His father, Lawrence Garrett, was present at the game with a huge camera, ready to capture the historic moment. Myles said he was shocked to see the camera in his interview on The Tonight Show, where he also made his Super Bowl pick.
Who is Myles Garrett Supporting in the Super Bowl?
Myles Garrett went to The Tonight Show, starring Jimmy Fallon, on February 5th. The talk show host asked him about his Super Bowl pick, and before Fallon could finish the question, the 2x DPOY said: “Seahawks.”
Fallon was surprised at the swift response. "Really?... That fast?” he even asked the Browns star.
“It’s just my belief,” Garrett replied. “I think they’re just a more well-rounded team. Those guys have a great defense, and I side with defense, usually.”
