Denzel Boston shares his one advantage he can "abuse" on the field
Just a few months ago, during the Cleveland Browns' OTAs and minicamps, Denzel Boston emerged as one of the biggest breakout stars. Now, he's carried that momentum into training camp, revealing the one advantage he has over the others.
"I think it just comes down to a mentality of 'that's my ball,'" Boston said, per Kelsey Russo of Cleveland Browns on August 2. "I think that's what it comes down to. I do have that height advantage that I can abuse when I can, but at the same time, I think it comes down to a mentality of I'm going to go get it."

Standing 6-foot-3, Denzel Boston has the size and length to win contested catches, dominate red-zone jump balls, and box out defensive backs.
On top of that, his 212-pound frame is strong enough to shield the ball from cornerbacks, allowing him to overwhelm defenders with his physicality. Boston also revealed during his conversation with Kelsey Russo that he has developed great chemistry with the quarterbacks.
"I think it really comes from just knowing my job, knowing what I'm doing, having good communication with the quarterback," Boston said. "When you're able to do that, you kind of can just play fluid, play free, and just go out there and have fun."
Through five training camp practices, Boston has consistently turned heads with his contested catches and deep-ball receptions.
He caught long passes from both Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders on Saturday. However, he capped Monday by drawing a pass interference penalty against Tyson Campbell on a contested catch.
Training under the guidance of wide receivers coach Christian Jones and head coach Todd Monken, he has been refining his game.

According to Christian Jones, Boston took no time to master Todd Monken's playbook, allowing him to play faster during OTAs and minicamp. The wide receivers coach further praised his natural hands, saying he attacks the ball well and secures catches cleanly.
"From the first day we watched him run routes, I mean it was jog through, and I was like this guy's got great hips," Jones said in June, per Cleveland Browns in the aforementioned report. "He knows what to do, and he's really focused on doing that and being good on every aspect of his game, and he knows what his issues are and what to work on.
The Browns drafted Denzel Boston for his rare blend of size, physicality, and dependable hands, and he has yet to disappoint the coaching staff or front office.
He has established himself as a reliable target in the red zone and on crucial third-down plays.
He has shown immense promise, but will he be able to translate that into success against the opposition? Time will tell.
