DeMarcus Lawrence Worried About His Wife Despite Achieving Lifelong Dream

Feb 9, 2026, 8:35 AM CUT

DeMarcus Lawrence just achieved his lifelong dream of winning Super Bowl LX. But his first thought wasn't the trophy. He was searching for his wife, Sasha, who is 37 weeks pregnant and could go into labor at any moment.

In a wholesome moment post his game against the New England Patriots, Lawrence asked his wife about Sasha’s whereabouts.

“Where’s my wife? She not in labor, right?” he asked. The reporter responded she didn't think Sasha was in labor.

Unwilling to miss the biggest night of her husband’s career, she was in attendance at Santa Clara Stadium on Sunday. However, Lawrence's concern was rooted in conversations he had with his teammates.

According to reporter Kaylee Hartung, "DeMarcus and his teammates had some deep conversations about what they'll do if his wife goes into labor during this game. His teammates said, 'It's not guaranteed you'll make another Super Bowl, but you can have another baby.'"

That was because Lawrence left the Dallas Cowboys after a decade with the team in his bid to win the Super Bowl. Lawrence's performance was pivotal in the victory.

DeMarcus Lawrence's Performance During the Super Bowl

On Sunday, the Seahawks’ leading defensive end made two tackles against the New England Patriots. Late in the third quarter, he deflected a pass and made a quarterback hit on Drake Maye, the Patriots’ QB.

It was a glimpse of a resurgent season. In 2024, Lawrence went out with an injury just four games into the season. However, he ended his first year with the Seahawks by tallying 53 tackles, six sacks, and forcing three fumbles through 16 games of the 2025 season.

More importantly, Lawrence now has the Lombardi trophy. He became part of a formidable Seattle defense.
