Deion Sanders shares emotional reason for browns camp visit
Deion Sanders has been alongside his Shedeur Sanders every step of his football journey. From coaching him in college football to his rookie NFL season. Now, as Sanders prepares for his year two, Coach Prime has explained why another visit meant so much.
“I didn't get that text last year, but I got it this year," Deion said in a video posted by Well Off Media on YouTube. "So, what does a father do? Come see his baby cuz I don't know when I'm going to see him again. It's time for us to go to work. It's time for us to lock in. It's time for us to focus.”
Deion visited during Days 2 and 3 of training camp, around July 29-30. He met with head coach Todd Monken and general manager Andrew Berry, and spent time with Shedeur. In an emotional admission, Deion revealed he doesn't know when he'll get the chance to see his son again.
“This last time I get to see his face, get to hug him, get to touch him. Physical touch is everything. Last time you put your hand on your kid's shoulder, hugged him, kissed him on the jaw, told them you love them. Think about that,” Deion Sanders said in a video posted by Well Off Media on YouTube.

From Jackson State to Colorado, Shedeur played every college snap under Deion's watch. Last season, after the Browns drafted the 24-year-old, Deion stayed with Colorado.
Sanders has been battling Deshaun Watson for the QB1 spot following last season's struggles.
Since his father visited training camp, Shedeur has shown marginal improvement, even outperforming Watson with a higher completion rate and, more importantly, zero interceptions.
Shedeur reacts to his father Deion Sanders' visit
His dad's visit meant something special to Shedeur. When asked about it, he looked genuinely happy and admitted it meant a lot to have his father visit him.
"It was good, I was overall focused every day about like practice so nothing else really matters whenever I'm on the field," Shedeur said, per ESPN. "But whenever I'm off the field like of course I'm excited to see my dad… Yeah, but nothing matters when you're between the lines."
Through the first four practices, Sanders has outperformed Deshaun Watson, with the two quarterbacks alternating first-team reps each day.
He has delivered accurate passes and has yet to throw an interception, but what has held him back is that he has yet to throw a touchdown as well. Given that, what is your opinion about Deion Sanders?
