Dallas Cowboys interested in trading for Browns' QB?
The Cleveland Browns could face new questions about Shedeur Sanders' future as the NFL trade deadline approaches. Recent developments have put his situation under the spotlight, with a potential trade entering the conversation.
CBS Sports analyst John Breech floated the Dallas Cowboys as a possible destination. He pointed to owner Jerry Jones' relationship with Shedeur's father, Deion Sanders. Deion spent five seasons with Dallas during his Hall of Fame career.
Breech suggested Jones might consider Shedeur Sanders as a backup to Dak Prescott because of that connection. However, Dallas already has Sam Howell as Prescott's backup, with Joe Milton on the practice squad.
That depth raises questions about whether the Cowboys would pursue another quarterback. Still, Jones' connection to Deion helps explain why Dallas has entered the discussion.
Breech's suggestion does not confirm that Dallas is pursuing a trade. It simply puts the possibility on the table as the deadline approaches.
Browns QB's new agent sparks trade speculation
Meanwhile, Shedeur Sanders has hired Adie von Gontard to represent him. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the development as the November 10 trade deadline approaches.
The timing has fuelled speculation about a possible move. The change has also raised questions about Sanders' future in Cleveland. However, hiring an agent does not mean the quarterback has requested a trade or that Cleveland intends to move him.
For now, Dallas remains a potential landing spot rather than a confirmed destination, leaving the Browns' plans for their young quarterback uncertain as the trade deadline draws closer.
