Cleveland Browns Reveal First Interaction Between Shedeur Sanders & Spencer Fano
The Cleveland Browns’ offense appears to be coming along well together on the field. On May 8, the Browns shared a clip of their offensive players, Shedeur Sanders and Spencer Fano, interacting.
In an X post captioned “Sheduer and Fano link up,” Sanders, the quarterback, and Fano, the Browns’ 2026 round pick, are seen dabbing each other and sharing pleasantries.
“I’ve been watching you, bruh. I’ve been watching you all over,” Sanders told Fano in a video shared on ESPN Cleveland on May 8.
In response, Fano, the team’s newest lineman, said, “That’s so cool, bruh. Good to see you.”
The Browns traded down with the Kansas City Chiefs in this year’s draft for the offensive lineman from Utah at no. 9 eventually. Post draft, Browns’ general manager Andrew Berry revealed just how important picking Fano was.
“We really had a group of three players that we would have been elated to select at 6 or at 9. Spencer (Fano) headlined the group,” Berry said.
In the 2025 season, Fano allowed zero sacks and quarterback hits in 822 offensive snaps.
He is set to be an important player, as highlighted by Zach Bachar for Bleacher Report.
“Fano should now serve as a key piece of a Browns offensive line that'll block for Shedeur Sanders or Deshaun Watson at quarterback in 2026,” Bachar said.
If Sanders is declared as the QB1, Fano’s priority is clear: recreate his 2025 record for Sanders, who was unguarded last year.
Shedeur Sanders And The Browns OL In 2025 At A Glance
In his rookie season, Sanders was sacked 23 times in just eight outings. In his December 17 report for ESPN, Daniel Oyefusi wrote that he “faced pressure on 43.9% of his dropbacks since Week 12.”
The Browns’ offensive line ranked at No.31 by PFF. Former wide receiver Terrell Owens called out the OL and Cam Robinson, especially for the 23-20 loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 15.
“I swear #68 must have a p*****on this game or something… Entire OL is trash… Frfr Shedeur can shoot a @Tide commercial after this game as much as he’s been on his back,” the six-time Pro Bowler wrote in an X post.
Now, heading into 2026, the stakes are high for both Sanders and Fano, whose OT rank was first in the 2026 Combine. The duo would want to build a strong bond that will reflect in their performances on the field.
