The Cleveland Browns are heading into training camp on July 23 with a quarterback competition still very much up in the air. It's a familiar kind of uncertainty for a franchise that has never won a Super Bowl since the modern era began.

Their most recent postseason appearance ended in a 45-14 wild-card loss to the Houston Texans back in the 2023 season. For all the recent struggles, the Browns have a history worth celebrating.

The Browns have sent 18 players to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, ranking tenth all-time, with left tackle Joe Thomas set to become the 19th this summer.

Otto Graham, Quarterback

Few would dispute that Otto Graham is one of the most legendary figures in Cleveland Browns history. During his 10-season career with the franchise, he made 10 championship appearances and won seven titles. No quarterback in the league matched his numbers during his time.

He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame back in 1965, and after that, he would go on to coach the Washington Commanders (formerly the Redskins) from 1966 until 1968.

Jim Brown, running back

Many around the league consider Jim Brown one of the greatest running backs ever. He retired at just 30 with 12,312 rushing yards, a mark that stood as the NFL record for nearly two decades and still ranks as Cleveland's all-time rushing record. As of 2026, he ranks 12th in all-time rushing yards.

His 104.3 rushing yards per game average remains untouchable despite decades of NFL history. Add to that eight rushing titles, three MVP awards, and a 1964 championship, and his legacy speaks for itself.

Joe Thomas, Offensive tackle

One not-so-common name on the list is offensive tackle Joe Thomas. He spent a decade with the Cleveland Browns during some of the franchise's toughest years and never once complained.

While the team struggled, he remained its rock, anchoring the offensive line every step of the way. His record of 10,363 consecutive snaps may never be broken.

Myles Garrett, Defensive end

Last but not least, the list would be incomplete without Myles Garrett. He is widely regarded as the greatest defensive end in franchise history and already holds Cleveland's all-time sack record with 125.5 career sacks.

Garrett also owns the team's single-season sack record with 23 and has won the NFL Defensive Player of the Year award twice.

At just 30 years old, Garrett is still adding to his legacy, making him an easy choice for the Browns' Mount Rushmore.

Those four players represent different eras of Browns football, making them fitting choices for the franchise's Mount Rushmore.
