Cleveland Browns Make Multiple Signings to Bolster Squad for 2026
The Cleveland Browns began voluntary OTAs in Berea on May 19 as preparations for the 2026 season continue. The excitement around Cleveland’s 2026 draft picks continues to strengthen the roster ahead of the new season.
The Browns officially announced the signing of WR Aaron Anderson, LB Reid Carrico, and DE Markees Watts.
The Cleveland Browns continued reshaping their roster by waiving Bernard Gooden, Caden Prieskorn, and veteran wide receiver Isaiah Wooden after signing three new players.
According to Brownswire, Wooden was already facing an uphill battle for a roster spot following Anderson’s offseason rise. While Prieskorn’s position became even tougher after general manager Andrew Berry added tight ends Joe Royer and Casen Ryan during the 2026 NFL Draft.

Anderson will wear jersey No. 85, Carrico will wear No. 38, Watts will wear No. 61, confirmed by the Cleveland Browns.
The undrafted rookie, Anderson, spent three seasons at LSU after transferring from Alabama. He appeared in 33 games with the Tigers and recorded 106 receptions for 1,341 yards and five touchdowns.
Carrico is also an undrafted rookie. Carrico spent two years at West Virginia following three years at Ohio State. Carico and Anderson participated in the Browns' rookie minicamp on a tryout basis.
Watts is entering his fourth NFL season out of Charlotte. He was signed by Tampa Bay as an undrafted free agent in 2023. Across three seasons, he appeared in 27 career games.
With Todd Monken now leading the Cleveland Browns, the offense is expected to look different, which likely increases the need for receivers like Anderson.
The defensive additions were easier to understand, considering Cleveland finished 31st in total defense last season, per Fox Sports.
Browns’ Offseason Moves Add Depth Across Roster
The Brown continued to build around several important additions made during previous drafts and the offseason. One of the biggest talking points is the reshaping of the offensive line and receiving unit.
Fans got excited when they signed two wide receivers alongside Jerry Jeudy. KC Concepcion, and Denzel Boston.
Later, the Browns traded for Tytus Howard and then drafted Spencer Fano, and signed Zion Johnson and Elgton Jenkins. NFL analyst Alex Kay of Bleacher Report named the Browns as an underrated landing spot for Taylor Decker.
“The trio of Decker, Fano, and Howard would provide the Browns with three potential anchors to work around, with two starting and the other rotating in as the team’s swing tackle,” Kay said.
