Cavaliers Star Pleads With Browns to Draft His Younger Brother

Mar 20, 2026, 11:10 PM CUT

The 2024 NBA first-round draft pick for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Jaylon Tyson, wishes to reunite with his younger brother, Jordyn Tyson.

Given that the Cleveland Browns have 2 first-round picks—No. 6 and No. 24, Tyson expressed, "My little brother, [Jordyn Tyson], he's coming to the Browns, hopefully. They need a star wide receiver now," via ESPN's NBA Tip Off.

According to Sports Illustrated, the Arizona State Sun Devils’ wide receiver Jordyn Tyson recently interviewed with the Cleveland Browns, with his brother also paying a visit to the team’s facility.

When the up-and-coming NBA star was asked about his brother’s draft, he said, "I tell people, we're going to be in the playoffs, but if we don't have a game that day, I'm going. And I'm going to be on TV, I'm going to have my glasses on because I'm going to be crying, I'm going to be dying in tears," in a News 5 Cleveland interview.

He added, "My draft night was super special, best day of my life, but his draft night, that'll be the best night I'll ever have in my life."

If the Cleveland Browns land Jordyn Tyson in 2026, this move would make Cleveland the first city to draft Brothers in different leagues across the same city.

Jordyn Tyson is hopeful about his pick by the Browns, and the idea has him imagining the next chapter with his brother.

"Oh, he'll [Jaylon Tyson] be buying the house, and he going to get the big room because that's big, bro. But shoot, that'd be a blessing if it happens and shoot, I'm cool with whatever if I go there," he said.

But, even after Jaylon's pleas, is his brother even the Browns' target?

Why Jordyn Tyson Is on The Cleveland Browns’ Radar?

The Cleveland Browns are planning on picking a Wide Reciever from the NFL Draft this season, and Jordyn Tyson is reportedly a top-20 wide receiver prospect.

Over his college career, the 6-foot-2, 203-pound receiver, Tyson, has accumulated over 2,200 yards receiving on 158 receptions and has 22 touchdowns.

Despite his size, he has shown impressive quickness in his routes.

If it weren’t for his major knee injuries (ACL, LCL, MCL) in 2022 and a broken collarbone in 2024, with hamstring injuries in 2025, he would’ve easily been a top-10 prospect in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Even the ESPN analyst Louis Riddick wrote on one of his X posts, “Jordyn Tyson from Arizona State has every single skill/trait you want in a #1 WR. As long as he is healthy and with a QB that doesn’t suck, he will be the best WR from the 2026 draft."
