Browns WR coach Christian Jones gets honest about KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston
After an offensive nightmare last season, the Browns are betting on fresh talent. April draft picks WR KC Concepcion and WR Denzel Boston have already turned heads, with WR coach Christian Jones impressed by their early progress.
"Casey's doing a good job. Um, and what we haven't seen yet is because we're, you know, we're still in shorts on pads yet, is that we haven't seen him with the ball in his hand, really bouncing off the tackles, which I think is going to be something that shows up for him, too. But what's great with him is his versatility,” said the WR coach, with Nathan Zegura on the Cleveland Browns Daily podcast.
Concepcion has shown plenty of promise in training camp, hauling in nearly everything thrown his way as spring progressed. The 2025 standout finished last season with 61 catches for 919 yards and nine touchdowns.
During the same conversation with Nathan Zegura on the Cleveland Browns Daily podcast, Jones highlighted Denzel Boston's consistency and described him as fearless.

"He goes up and gets the ball. He's not afraid to attack it, and he's got that mindset. I think that's something that he's really growing with, doing, and wanting to do: when the ball's in the air, it's mine. He really plucks it out there when it comes his way. He's a really good route runner,” said Jones.
The rookies will certainly need to step up for the Browns this season. After a 5-12 campaign last year, Cleveland got only four of its 16 touchdown receptions from wide receivers, two by Jerry Jeudy and two by Cedric Tillman.
In comparison, the Rams' Davante Adams caught an NFL-high 14 touchdown passes last season, 10 more than the Browns' six wide receivers combined. The Rookies have much work to do, but Christian Jones believes that they are on the right track.

The Browns are betting big on their rookie wideouts after the position group endured a brutal campaign last season.
As KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston prepare for the 2026 season, wide receivers coach Christian Jones believes the duo is on the right track.
“The rookies have done a good job,” Jones said per Cleveland.com. “Once you get them to understand the plays and how to do things the right way, it’s time for their talents to shine. They’ve done a good job.”
That said, the Browns' rookie duo brings two completely different skill sets that could be a real problem for the opponents.
Given that, what are your thoughts on the dynamic duo?
