Browns want to pair Arch Manning and Nick Saban in Cleveland?
The Cleveland Browns could be on the verge of another year of "rebuilding" if recent reports are to be believed.
The team started the season with a brutal 34 - 10 loss against the Jacksonville Jaguars with QB Deshaun Watson looking shaky and limited on his return.
Despite fans wanting backup QB, Shedeur Sanders, to come in and take over, it seems like the Browns could be tanking in order to draft Arch Manning in 2027. Speaking on ESPN Cleveland, Tony Rizzo said that he's heard from sources that Browns owner wants to pair Nick Saban and Arch Manning in Cleveland:
"I have to say this because I've heard a lot of rumors, but I heard Jimmy is not done going after Nick Saban. Now Nick wouldn't coach but he would have some kind of role. And to combine him with Arch Manning." (via ESPN Cleveland)
What's next for the Browns QB situation?
Despite Todd Monken saying that Deshaun Watson will start the game on Sunday and will be given a long leash, the talk around Cleveland suggests that Watson's Browns career could come to an end as soon as this weekend if he doesn't perform.
Cleveland media personality Tony Grossi who was vocally supporting Watson to be QB1, has now said that Shedeur Sanders gives the team the best chance to win.
