Browns Reporter Outlines Simple Plan for Todd Monken's Offense Ahead of Ravens Clash

Todd Monken faces a significant test when the Cleveland Browns host the Baltimore Ravens in Week 6. The divisional clash carries extra meaning for Monken, who previously served as Baltimore's offensive coordinator before taking over in Cleveland.

The Browns have impressed with a 3-2 start, but their offense remains inconsistent. Deshaun Watson has delivered some encouraging performances, yet Cleveland cannot rely solely on its defense to keep winning games.

With Baltimore arriving after a victory over Atlanta, Monken needs his offense to find another gear. Browns reporter Tony Grossi believes the answer could be surprisingly simple: get rookie wide receiver Denzel Boston more involved.

"He's the best player on offense. You've got to get him the ball more. You can't rely on the running game," Grossi said on ESPN Cleveland.

Boston has quickly emerged as one of Cleveland's most explosive offensive weapons. Grossi believes the Browns should lean into the rookie's playmaking ability rather than depend too heavily on their rushing attack.

For Monken, the challenge is finding the right balance against a familiar opponent. Getting Boston more opportunities could help Watson stretch the field and give Cleveland's offense a better chance to keep pace in this divisional showdown.

Browns Rookie Denzel Boston Has Been the Star of Todd Monken's Offense

Boston has made an immediate impact in his rookie season. Through five games, he has recorded 16 receptions for 330 yards and three touchdowns, averaging an impressive 20.6 yards per catch.

His ability to create explosive plays has given Watson a valuable downfield target. Boston recorded 89 receiving yards against Pittsburgh in Week 4, including a 60-yard reception that showcased his big-play potential.

The rookie's emergence gives Cleveland a promising building block for its passing game. Against Baltimore, Monken will have an opportunity to make Boston an even bigger part of the offense and test a Ravens defense that must account for his speed and size.
