Browns reporter delivers blunt verdict on Dillon Gabriel future
The Cleveland Browns face questions about their quarterback depth as Dillon Gabriel's place in the team's plans remains uncertain.
With a roster deadline approaching, Cleveland must decide how to manage its options. A trade could address the situation, but finding a suitable deal may prove difficult right now. The Browns must weigh Gabriel's value against what another club would offer.
Speaking on The Ken Carman Show with Anthony Lima on 92.3 The Fan, Browns reporter Zac Jackson explained the challenge Cleveland could face:
“Like, yes, the Browns would trade Dillon Gabriel. No, his future is probably not here. However, what someone would give for him is not what they're willing to give up. And you just don't know how this is gonna go, especially when you look around the league.”
Jackson's comments suggest Cleveland could consider moving Gabriel, but may not receive the return it wants. For now, his future remains uncertain.
Browns' roster plans could hinge on health and availability
Cleveland must also manage its wider roster needs.
The Browns have brought up defensive tackles when needed, while leaving other players off injured reserve. Zac Jackson noted Cleveland could stash a player again, depending on the situation. He said health and availability would shape the decision.
The Browns must balance those factors with their quarterback options before the deadline.
