Browns RB Quinshon Judkins Drops Honest Take on Shedeur Sanders' Future

As Shedeur Sanders is in the middle of the Cleveland Browns' QB scramble, one player has come forward and shown his full support for him.

Cleveland's rookie running back and breakout star, Quinshon Judkins, spoke highly of Sanders in a small interaction with The Arena: Gridiron.

“It’s fun. Shedeur is a great talent and has a good personality. He’s fun to be around,” Judkins said. "To be the QB1 of any team, you have to have that locker room and have a voice. A lot of the guys believe in him. Just having that relationship with each other means a lot.”

And if a breakout star like Judkins shows faith in Sanders, the management must pay attention. The running back was one of the few offensive players who kept the unit afloat and displayed consistent spark for the team.

Judkins, only 22, scored 7 touchdowns on 230 carries. He covered 827 yards and emerged as a reliable player for the Browns.

Sanders and Judkins showed a great partnership as seen in Week 14 against the Tennessee Titans. The duo successfully pulled off a 58-yard pass, which was one of the highlights from Sanders’ three-touchdown game.

The 24-year-old quarterback had remained inconsistent throughout his debut season, but Judkins was able to bring out the best in him.

Both Sanders and Judkins were drafted by the Browns together and have built a strong partnership since. Their strong bond easily explains Judkins’ confidence in him.

“Me and him are very attentive to detail in practice. We spend a lot of time outside the building. Me and him are cool,” he said.

Judkins' support for Shedeur Sanders is a Breath of Fresh Air

Last month, elite defensive player and lead edge rusher Myles Garrett appeared on Micah Parsons’ podcast. There, he said something, which wasn't a good look for Shedeur Sanders.

"You know, we're going to give him a shot to prove that he's the guy. We're not going to give anyone that title until they go out there and earn it," he said.

Well, Garrett acknowledged the spark he showed in little time as a starting quarterback.

"You know, he was the last person to be on the field, and he showed some flashes, so we're going to give him an opportunity to show what he can really do."

In the eight games as a starting QB, Sanders scored seven touchdowns but threw 10 interceptions for 1,400 yards. Although that is not the performance of a franchise quarterback, experts and fans know there is room for improvement.

With Deshaun Watson recovered and around for one more year, and fellow QB Dillon Gabriel active on the roster, Sanders has to prove he is worth trusting during the training camp. Surely, a little trust from his teammates would boost his confidence.
