Browns Players Who Need to Desperately Step Up Amidst the Team's Struggle with Injuries

Dec 14, 2025, 5:00 PM CUT

The Cleveland Browns will go against the Chicago Bears in the Week 15 clash. But Kevin Stefanski’s team has a long list of injured players.

Now, the onus is on the backup players to take their shot and help the team. In the report shared by the Browns ahead of the match, starters like Denzel Ward and Wyatt Teller are ruled out of the game.

Ward was one of the leading cornerbacks for Cleveland with 29 solo tackles. With him out, names like Tyson Campbell and Sam Webb will get a start.

The other names included in the list were tight end David Njoku, RB Dylan Sampson, and Adin Huntington, who will definitely be out of Sunday’s game. DT Mason Graham will also be questionable to start against the Bears. He has recorded 21 solo tackles and 0.5 sacks so far.

Cleveland will need a lot of backup players to help Sanders create some magic. With Ethan Pocic’s Achilles tendon injury, Luke Wypler will get a chance in center.

Offensive tackle Cam Robinson and KT Leveston could get their starts in the defensive line, along with Teven Jenkins, who will start at right guard, instead of Teller.

Although the Browns are already eliminated from the competition with a 3-10 record, they could still spoil the party for other teams. With Caleb Williams and the Bears desperate for a win, it will be interesting to see whether Shedeur Sanders can lead his team to a win or not.

Danny Parkins Makes a Confident Prediction

Fox Sports analyst Danny Parkins thinks it won’t be hard for the Bears to defeat Cleveland.

I am so confident the Bears are going to beat the Browns, they don’t even need Caleb (Williams) to throw the ball. Cleveland’s defense…little overrated? They’re the 13th ranked rush defense in football."

Well, looking at the Browns’ defense and their poor defensive record, Parkins’ claim might not be that wild. They have conceded 33 touchdowns and 23.2 points per game.

Not only that, but since Week 4, Cleveland’s defensive unit has given away 114.0 Yards per game.

Parkins' calling the Browns’ defence overrated might not be too far-fetched, as everybody saw what transpired against the Titans. Cam Ward and Tennessee managed to cross the 30-point mark for the first time in last week’s 31-29 win.

How will the team close this week with the injuries in tow? We'll have to wait and watch.
