Browns Linked with $80 Million Move to Unlock Shedeur Sanders' Full Potential
Despite their financial constraints, the Cleveland Browns are set to commit to a new offensive lineman. According to the latest reports, the Browns are set to sign former Green Bay Packers tackle Rasheed Walker to provide their quarterback, Shedeur Sanders, the support he lacked in the 2025 season.
ESPN’s Dan Graziano predicted that the franchise is offering Walker an $80 million contract for four years. Out of which, fifty millions are guaranteed money.
“Predicted landing spot: Cleveland Browns. A three-year starter for the Packers and a proven left tackle who just turned 26, Walker should do very well in a league that’s always looking for good offensive linemen,” Graziano wrote.

“His 93.8% pass block win rate was 11th among tackles last season. With 2024 first-round pick Jordan Morgan set to take over at left tackle in Green Bay, Walker gets to test the market and should land a deal similar to the one Dan Moore Jr. got from the Titans a year ago.”
How Good Is Walker, and in Which Position Will He Play?
Walker was drafted in 2022 and brings experience that the Browns offense is desperate for. He appeared as a starter in the 2023-24 season and “helped Green Bay rank No. 2 in the NFL in sacks allowed (52) and sack percentage (4.7).”
He also started in 17 games last season and allowed 22 sacks, which was the second most by a team. The Packers ranked fifth in terms of offense with 370.8 yards per game.
The Browns, on the other hand, were ranked 30th in terms of offense. Not only did the franchise go through two quarterbacks in a season, but the starters and the OL lacked trust and practice together as a solid unit.
Sanders was berated by experts and critics alike for his lukewarm performance; he threw only seven touchdowns, but the management has since recognized gaps within the unit.
Most recently, they brought in Tytus Howard from the Houston Texans, aiming to fill their right tackle position. If true, this leaves Walker in charge of the left side.
Despite Walker’s impressive track record, every move the Browns make is a huge risk, especially since they are still processing the “swing and a miss” $230 million Deshaun Watson contract. But these new chances are sowing hope among fans who want to see the offensive unit match the elite defense.
