Browns Legend Joe Thomas Makes Massive Shedeur Sanders Claim Ahead of Bills Clash

Browns legend Joe Thomas weighed in on Cleveland's situation after the Bears loss last week.
While speaking to TMZ, Joe Thomas made his belief in Shedeur Sanders clear, addressing his touchdown-less performance from last week.
"I think he's given us a little bit of hope. It was not pretty last week. Some of that was the protection breakdown. Some of that was the receivers forgetting how to catch the football instead of playing volleyball..."

Thomas referred to the 5 sacks Sanders took in the last game. And that wasn't all. Sanders' pass to Jerry Jeudy that should have been a touchdown went out of his hands and into Jaylon Johnson. However, all hope isn't lost.
"If Shedeur can continue to improve, plays pretty well, and improves these last three games a little bit each week, I think he's got a chance to make a name for himself and to declare himself as the franchise quarterback..."
The Bears posed as the toughest defense Sanders had faced in the NFL, but Sanders made confident plays. The throw to Jeudy was a prime example. And outside of that, he had 177 yards.
And Kevin Stefanski certainly believes he can do so. "He’s got the same attitude every single day, which you expect from quarterbacks. In this league, you have to be able to turn the page after a loss. You got to be able to turn the page after a win. You can’t take that previous game with you and I think he does a great job of that.”
And the Browns can use Shedeur Sanders as a way of building a future team
The Browns are in a strong position for the 2026 NFL Draft. And Fernando Mendoza or Dante Moore are realistic options. But with three QBs in the team already, the Browns could look to boost other spots in their team. And that's what Thomas thinks as well.
"The Browns then can use their two first-round draft choices to build around him and then make him the starter throughout the offseason and into training camp and really give him every opportunity to win that job."
With additions to the offensive line or even a wide receiver, it could open up the offense to let Sanders perform on the level he did at Colorado.
