After a game with three interceptions, no touchdowns, and a completion rate barely inching over 50%, fans are starting to have doubts about Shedeur Sanders.

However, Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com thinks that the future is safe for the quarterback while talking on 92.3 The Fan.

"I think he's done some remarkable things in the first three starts despite the fact he did not ever start practising with the starters until before his first ever start against the Raiders four weeks ago."

Cabot's words echoed what Shedeur said after his first start with the Raiders. "This is one week of practice. So, imagine what a full offseason would look like. It gets dangerous. But it’s just one week of practice."

And that has translated well in the last few weeks. Sanders dropped four touchdowns against the Titans. And while he had three picks against the Bears, it was his first time going against a strong defense. With more game time, Sanders can grow exceptionally well.

"I just have a feeling that [the Browns are] going to analyze the whole thing and decide they want to move forward with [Sanders]. I can't say for sure yet, but I feel like it sort of has that vibe, and it feels like it's almost kind of trending in that direction."

Sanders has already proven himself when he crossed the 350 passing yards mark, adding passing and rushing touchdowns. He became one of the few in Browns history who did so.

And it's not just Cabot who feels confident about Shedeur Sanders

Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski also backed the rookie QB. “I’m obviously thinking about just this game and those types of things. He’s a young player who is making progress, and I see it in games. I get to see it in practice. There’s going to be ups and downs to young players, particularly the quarterback position.”

Sanders has a host of rookies around him: Harold Fannin Jr., Quinshon Judkins and Isaiah Bond. All three of them have shown potential. If the Browns can draft an extra tackle and give Shedeur time to grow, it might be the perfect way to rebuild next season.
