Browns Have Major TE Decision as 28-Year-Old Star Joins Harold Fannin

21-year-old tight end Harold Fannin Jr. was the Cleveland Browns breakout star in 2025.
But even his stellar performance could not fill the larger gap in the offensive unit. Especially since David Njoku and now Blake Whiteheart parted ways with the franchise.
And hence, the Browns have made a major decision over the position and signed Jack Stoll as of Thursday. According to NFL insider Jeremy Fowler, the Browns roped in the former Philadelphia Eagles player for one year.
Fowler confirmed the news in a Wednesday X post.
“The Browns have agreed to terms with tight end Jack Stoll on a one-year deal, per source. Cleveland was looking for additional tight end help, gets it in the veteran Stoll,” he reported.
Stoll was an undrafted free agent in 2021 and was later picked by the Eagles. After spending four seasons with them, he moved to the New Orleans Saints. In the 57 games he played for the Eagles, he recorded 22 receptions out of 31 targets.
The 2022 season was his career best, as Stoll covered 123 yards for 11 receptions with an average of 11.2. Interestingly, Stoll didn't score a single touchdown during his time with the Eagles.
In 2025, Stoll started four games with the Saints and had six catches for 46 yards. And he recorded the only touchdown of his career so far. And as per Pro Football Focus, he was one of the top 15 pass-blocking tight ends last season.
Stoll Is Expected to Support Fannin, Who Did Well in His Rookie Season
In the 16 games Fannin appeared in, he made 72 receptions out of the 107 targets thrown at him.
With that, he became the Browns’ leading tight end for the season. He covered 731 yards, scored six touchdowns for an average of 10.2. Fannin also made 32 receiving first downs and completed one rushing touchdown.
Stoll would be entering his sixth NFL season, this time with the Browns in the upcoming season. It would appear that the Browns’ improved offensive unit is coming together with this addition.
