Browns Fans Debate Over Potential Move for Deion Sanders Amidst Recent Struggles

Could Deion Sanders be the solution to the Browns' Head Coach hunt?

Sports Media Professional and Cleveland Native Nick Pedone pitched the idea on the Ken Carman Show with Anthony Lima.

"I'm surprised not more people are talking about… Coach Prime Deion Sanders. Who's to say that there wasn't some secret meetings that took place about Coach Prime being the next head coach of the Cleveland Browns?"

The Browns fan pointed out all the factors that could work in favor of Sanders. He talked about Shedeur Sanders (Deion's son) being the starting QB of the team.

Then he moved to the conversation between Deion and Jimmy Haslam when Coach Prime visited the Browns campus. "So there's precedent for prime to be entertaining NFL gigs," Pedone said. Deion Sanders has lifted teams from the position the Browns are currently in.

He took over a 1-11 Colorado team in December 2022 and led it to a 4-8 season in 2023 and a 9-4 season with a bowl appearance in 2024. Former player Emmanuel Acho has also backed Coach Prime as the Browns' next HC if the team starts with his son Shedeur Sanders.

“If Shedeur is going to be the future, you’re not going to draft a quarterback, you can’t get (Fernando) Mendoza, it’s not a quarterback class. Who has always gotten the most out of Shedeur? Deion Sanders," he said during a recent appearance on Speakeast.

Deion Sanders Would Only Join Browns if he had to coach in the NFL

Sanders' contract with the University of Colorado keeps him as head coach through the 2029 season. But his close friend and former NFL star Adam "Pacman" Jones pondered over the thought that if Coach Prime could leave for the NFL.

"I can see it happen. Me knowing Prime, it would have to be Cleveland," Jones said. "He’s not going to go and coach against Shedeur, that’s first and foremost. Knowing him, he's going to want to finish what he started in Boulder. I think he stays there."

The father-son duo has worked perfectly with the Colorado Buffaloes before and reaped great results. Do you think Deion Sanders could do the same with the Browns, having Shedeur Sanders as his starting QB?
