Browns Eye 40-Yard Dash Record Holder as Shedeur Sanders New Partner

The Cleveland Browns hit gold by picking Harold Fannin Jr. as their tight end last year. But his stellar performance alone will not suffice in the upcoming season.

Multiple reports suggest that the Browns are meeting their next potential TE very soon.

On Wednesday, in an X post, NFL insider Ian Rapoport shared that the franchise is hosting Kenyon Sadiq, a junior who plays for the Oregon Ducks.

“The #Browns are hosting #Oregon TE Kenyon Sadiq, potentially the first TE off the board, on a Top 30 visit today," a source said.

Sadiq’s speed could benefit the only grace of the Browns’ offense, which is their tight end roster.

The 21-year-old completed the 40-yard dash in 4.39 seconds and has displayed good receiving ability in his college career. He is touted as a first-round pick after ending the 2025 season with 51 receptions, eight touchdowns, and 560 yards.

The overall NFL Combine score of 93 has made Sadiq a sought-after player, and some experts reportedly suggested he could even be a top 10 pick.

After the stellar run in the 2025 season, the TEs have to continue supporting the quarterbacks, Shedeur Sanders or whoever is announced as the QB1.

Cleveland Browns' Tight End Roster Did Its Best to Uphold a Failing Offense

The Browns have nine picks in the upcoming draft held in Pittsburgh this year.

Most of them are assumed to be reserved for different offense positions. The team ended the 2024 season with an embarrassing 4-13 record, which was followed by a 5-12 record last season.

Their offense has been one of the worst in the league. It was ranked 31st in scoring with 16.4 points per game in the 2025 season.

While there were many issues, an unstable QB roster included, Fannin Jr. left no room for complaints. He was the lead TE with 72 receptions out of 107 targets, and scored six touchdowns for 731 yards.

Last year was also the season David Njoku, the Browns’ veteran TE of eight years, left the team. They signed Jack Stoll, who played in a limited capacity and was outshone by Fannin. At age 21, he was one of the youngest players on the team and a breakout star.

But, if the Browns need another weapon to ensure a better offense, Will Sadiq be seen in the Browns’ colors, standing next to Sanders in the 2026 season? Tell us your guess.
