Browns Expected to Bring in 2 Offensive Free Agents for Veteran Workouts
The Cleveland Browns are coming off a 5-12 season. With lingering issues in offense, they are ensuring to test every offensive player who could be a good fit for the team. The latest updates show the front office’s efforts to churn out the best talent
On 20 April, X posts from two NFL reporters revealed that the Browns have invited Joe Michalski and Sincere McCormick for workout sessions.
“I'm told former Oklahoma State C Joe Michalski is working out for the Browns today. He spent 2025 season on Broncos' practice squad,” reported NFL analyst Eric Edholm.
Michalski, 25, is a former Oklahoma State offensive lineman. He was voted as the season captain by his teammates in 2023 and 2024. The five-time Academic All-Big 12 selection went undrafted last year but signed with the Denver Broncos and spent the season on their practice squad
His last year's NFL Combine results ruled him as a “Candidate for bottom of roster or practice squad” with a score of 5.68.
Meanwhile, the Houston Chronicle reporter Aaron Wilson reported on another Browns' interest this season.
“Veteran running back Sincere McCormick will be attending #Browns veteran offseason session on tryout basis, per a league source @KPRC2,” he wrote.
The 25-year-old running back was present for a tryout session. McCormick is a part of the Minnesota Vikings' practice squad currently. During his solo season with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2024, he appeared in five games and made 39 carries for 183.
While neither player has an illustrious record, these updates shed light on the Browns’ urgency to improve their offense.
How the Situation Looks for Cleveland Browns in the Offense
It was a tough year for the Cleveland Browns offense, which ended up 31st in scoring, 27th on the ground, and 31st through the air.
Todd Monken's addressed their offensive line early in free agency, but a major need remains at left tackle. More so because Dawand Jones is recovering from his third consecutive season-ending leg injury and is better suited at right tackle.
The Browns are in urgent need of a lineman. That's because the veteran guard and core member Joel Bitonio has yet to announce his return, after becoming a free agent.
The Browns have added veteran starters like center/guard Elgton Jenkins, guard Zion Johnson, and traded for veteran tackle Tytus Howard.
Meanwhile, the running back consists of young and fast players like Quinshon Judkins, Dylan Sampson, and rookie Raheem “Rocket” Sanders. But an older mentor in the form of McCormick would do these players good.
With the draft only days away, the Browns still have many positions to take care of. Do you think these veterans would wear brown and orange in 2026? Tell us in the comments.
