Browns Can Get Super Bowl Help For Shedeur Sanders In 2026 NFL Season
Shedeur Sanders did not have a great help at Wide Receiver last season. Jerry Jeudy had 10 drops, the second most in the season.
The Browns need to invest in a much better WR ahead of the 2026 NFL season. And PFF has dropped a name in between all this. Taking to X on March 7, they posted:
"Could we see Mike Evans in Cleveland next season? 🤯"
Mike Evans signed a two-year, $52 million contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in March 2024. He is going to be a free agent ahead of the 2026 season, and if the Bucs don't make a move, the Browns have the perfect opportunity to bring him in.
He had had 30 catches for 368 yards and scored 3 touchdowns in 8 games in 2025. Overall in his career, the WR has recorded 866 catches for 13,052 yards and scored 109 touchdowns. The NFL has selected him to play in 6 Pro Bowls, and he won 1 championship.
Evans crossed 1,000 receiving yards for the 11th season in a row in 2025. With this, he joined Hall of Famer Jerry Rice as the only players in NFL history to accomplish that feat. He is the only player in league history to begin a career with 11 straight 1,000-yard seasons.
Shedeur Sanders Might Be a Roadblock to Mike Evans Coming to the Browns
There's no doubt that if the Browns sign Mike Evans, they would have gold on their hands. Now the big question is: will the Super Bowl winner sign with the Browns?
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler has reported that Evans "wants a quarterback he believes in, a chance at a Super Bowl, a top-shelf offensive coordinator, and the promise of high-volume touches. " And the Browns don't seem to have any of that, especially QB.
The Team is called the graveyard of quarterbacks. While Shedeur Sanders did shine ina few games, he was not great. The QB had a passer rating of 68.1 with 1,400 yards, 7 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions in 8 games in 2025.
That might not be the kind of performance Mike Evans might put this trust in.
