Browns Announce Another Rookie Signing Ahead of 2026 Season

The Cleveland Browns have signed nine of their 10 draft picks as they still navigate through the 2026 NFL offseason. Safety Emmanuel McNeil-Warren is the ninth rookie to sign, who was drafted in the second round, overall No. 58.

According to Spotrac, he has signed a four-year, $8.35 million rookie contract with the Browns. McNeil-Warren will wear jersey No. 28 this season.

McNeil-Warren entered the 2026 NFL Draft as one of the more experienced defensive backs available. Across four seasons in Toledo, he played in 48 games with 214 tackles (106 solo), 11 tackles for loss, five interceptions, 13 pass deflections, and one sack.

Emmanuel's strong 2025 season earned him Second Team All-American honors. Last season, in 13 games, he recorded 77 tackles (36 solo), 5.5 tackles for loss, and five pass deflections.

The safety also impressed at the NFL Scouting Combine, recording a Combine Score of 82. He ran a 4.52-second 40-yard dash with a 1.58-second 10-yard split, while also posting a 35.5-inch vertical jump and a 10-foot-2 broad jump.

The other signed Browns' draft picks include Spencer Fano (Round 1, Pick-9), Denzel Boston (Round 2, Pick-39), Austin Barber (Round 3, Pick-86), Parker Brailsford (Round 5, Pick 146), Justin Jefferson (Round 5 Pick 149), Joe Royer (Round 5, Pick 170), Taylen Green (Round 6, Pick- 182) and Carsen Ryan (Round 7, Pick-248).

With most of their draft picks now signed, it leaves wide receiver KC Concepcion, the first-round, overall 24th pick of the draft.

The official schedule for the Browns was released on May 14, with their Week 1 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars on September 13.

Key Stretch of Browns’ 2026 Schedule Comes Into Focus

The Browns will return to Huntington Bank Field for their home opener against the Panthers on September 27 before hosting division rivals the Pittsburgh Steelers in a primetime clash the following week.

One of the biggest challenges will come midway through the season when they play three straight games against the Titans, Steelers, and Saints. The stretch could be crucial in shaping their campaign before they enter into a late bye week in Week 11.

Cleveland will play five of their final eight games set to be played at home. That run includes consecutive home fixtures against the Raiders, Bengals, and Falcons.

This stretch precedes their Week 11 bye. The Browns will have three straight home games. They will host the Raiders in Week 12 on November 29, the Bengals in Week 13 on December 6, and the Falcons in Week 14 on December 13.

With the schedule already out, the Browns need to finalize the signing of KC Conception before the pre-season begins. On the other hand, McNeil-Warren’s arrival adds another young defensive option to the roster.
