Deshaun Watson will start for the Cleveland Browns away at Jacksonville this Sunday as the Browns start off the 2026 season. Despite fans being divided over Watson, both due to his play and his comments over the preseason, Browns management are backing Watson as the best choice to play quarterback for the team.

ESPN Cleveland's Tony Grossi recently addressed what he expects from Watson after watching him in training camp. Grossi said that while Watson will never be the player he was in Houston again. Grossi said:

"I've seen him at practice. He's been better than reported elsewhere, at least to me... I haven't seen Watson from the Houston days. That player doesn't exist anymore. (via ESPN Cleveland)

Speaking about what he expects to see from Deshaun Watson this Sunday against the Jaguars, Tony Grossi said he still expects to see the best version of Watson since he came to Cleveland:
