The Cleveland Browns’ QB coach, Bill Musgrave, has been constantly impressed with rookie Shedeur Sanders’ progress. 

He recently praised Sanders for his steady growth in the four games he has played this season. 

“All rookies have mountains to climb in terms of how well we’re prepared for this level. We’re no-huddling, we’re sending motions, every language is different. He’s had a lot to adapt to, like Dillon (Gabriel) has also.”

Browns coach Kevin Stefanski turned to Sanders after fellow rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel went down with an injury. Sanders’ Week 11 debut against the Ravens didn’t go as hoped. In the 23-16 loss, he stepped in for the injured Gabriel, was sacked twice, and finished with 47 passing yards.

He continued to improve, throwing for 364 yards and 3 touchdowns in last week’s tight 31-29 loss to the Titans. Even though Cleveland has already been eliminated at 3-10, Sanders is showing signs that he could be the team’s franchise quarterback next season.

Shedeur Sanders opens up about Luke Wypler

The struggling Browns took another hit last week when offensive lineman Ethan Pocic suffered an Achilles injury during their loss to Tennessee. He has since been placed on injured reserve. 

Sheduer Sanders expressed his opinion of Luke Wypler replacing him at center. “Ethan.. That definitely hurt that he was out because of the responsibility he took in helping everybody whenever I come in and have that different level of comfort,” the Browns’ QB said. 

Although Sanders confessed that Pocic would be a major loss, he displayed confidence in Wypler’s abilities. He stated, “Luke is definitely ready to step and do what he got to do you know?” 

The Browns still have four games left this season before they can shift their focus to the future. With Sanders finally finding his rhythm, could they spoil the playoff hopes of teams still fighting for wild‑card spots? Let us know in the comments!
