Bernie Kosar Drops Latest Health Update After Recent Scare Had Him Hospitalized Yet Again

Legendary Quarterback Bernie Kosar has a health update for us.

Kosar had to be admitted several times after the successful liver transplant in November. He had to undergo treatment for E. coli blood poisoning that affected his bloodstream.

He took to X and sent a message to all the fans about his recovery. “G morning as I leave University Hospital again let’s all have a fantastic Friday making a genuine positive winning difference in all the people, families & communities we all touch today,” Kosar said.

In the shared video, the 62-year-old legend looked in good condition. He was getting some blood work done at the university hospital.

Kosar has been going in and out of the hospital with multiple issues to his health. In the summer of 2024, Bernie was diagnosed with liver failure and parkinsons disease.

When you look at Kosar's popularity, it is quite clear why he is still an absolute legend for the Browns fandom. Scoring 116 touchdowns for 21904 passing yards in nine seasons, he ‌even won a Super Bowl in 1993 for the Cowboys and earned a Pro Bowl selection in 1987.

Bernie Kosar’s impact wasn't just limited to the Cleveland Browns’ team but on the entire community.

Browns’ Former Head Coach Kevin Stefanski on Bernie Kosar

Kosar recently took to X and shared some clips from his NFL films feature last year.

Stefanski had to say this about him, “What he means in this town and this community, there’s still talking about you, and it’s not because you’re a great player, but also because of how great a person you are.”

Surely, when this was filmed, the two-time Coach of the Year was still with the Cleveland team. Unfortunately, after two back-to-back disappointing seasons, the Browns’ owner, Jimmy Haslam, decided to let him go.

While the Browns are in search of a new leader, Stefanski has already interviewed for multiple teams. Which team will end up? Let us know your thoughts!
