Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield was recently a guest on The Rich Eisen Show. Baker opened up about a number of topics before being asked about his former team, the Cleveland Browns. The Browns are coming to Tampa Bay in week 2. Mayfield was asked how he feels ahead of the game and what he thinks about the Browns' QB situation and Deshaun Watson being named QB1.

Although he usually wears his heart on sleeve, Baker was pretty composed when answering about his former team. He told Eisen that all he cares about is winning the game and showing the Browns that he's found a home in Tampa Bay. Mayfield said:

"It's just about winning. I really could care less about what's going on with their QB situation in their building. It's just about beating them and letting them know that I found a home." [via The Rich Eisen Show]

Baker Mayfield confident the Bucs can make a post-season run

While appearing on The Rich Eisen Show, Baker Mayfield was also asked about his thoughts on the Bucs' chances in 2026. Baker praised the team assembled around him and felt that with how everything was set up, he can see the making a post-season run:

"Offense, defense, special teams, and just excited for what we’ve been building throughout the offseason and training camp. And for me, just take it one game at a time, not getting too high, not getting too low. I think we have a really good roster, a great group of guys, great staff that can take us all the way." [via The Rich Eisen Show]

The Browns play the Buccaneers in Tampa Bay on September 20.
