Bad News For Browns As NFL Analyst Makes Bleak Prediction Over 2026 Season
The Cleveland Browns have entered the 2026 season hoping to turn the page, but a recent NFL prediction has already cast doubt over their chances. Just months before the regular season kicks off, analysts are questioning the Cleveland Browns.
Bleacher Report ranked the Cleveland Browns sixth among eight teams, evaluating 'Every Last-Place Team's Playoff Chances in 2026.' The predictions suggest that Cleveland faces a challenging battle given their struggle with one aspect.
"An offensive line that was rebuilt in the offseason should be better in 2026," wrote Gary Davenport of the Bleacher Report on May 29. "But the skill positions are a mess."

After a disappointing 5-12 season, the Browns have made changes to their coaching staff and roster. Amidst the changes, concerns lie with the veterans whom the Browns retained.
Jerry Jeudy (WR1) had a rough year last season. He struggled with 50 receptions, which marked the lowest since his second season in the league in 2021.
Furthermore, Quinshon Judkins, the running back, is returning from injury, as he dislocated his right ankle in December. For Cleveland's offense to thrive in 2026, Judkins has to show his potential.
According to Browns beat reporter Camryn Justice, Judkins participated in the minicamp session. While it's a positive update, the real test will come when Cleveland opens its season on September 13.
Other than Davenport, other reports, too, have cast doubt on the Browns' playoff chances.
The NFL Playoff Predictor from Pro Football Network gives Cleveland a 6.4% chance to capture the AFC North this season. Among the eight teams that finished at the bottom of their divisions in 2025, only two have lower odds of completing a worst-to-first turnaround.
While Cleveland's path to the playoffs appears difficult, Jeudy is confident about the offseason development.

Cleveland's offense struggled last season, ranking 31st, second last in the NFL, averaging 165.1 passing yards per game, as reported by FOX Sports. However, things are different moving into the 2026 season.
"With this offense, they did a great job of getting to the best plays," said Jeudy to Dawgs By Nature. "So being able to give the quarterback the ability to change the plays to get in the best formation against certain defenses and certain looks, that's gonna help us."
They drafted three rookie offensive linemen, including T Spencer Fano as the ninth overall pick. The coaching staff has introduced new play designs, concepts, and decision-making processes focused on making more favorable matchups.
Jeudy's praise for the system's ability suggests the offense is built around flexibility rather than depending on a rigid game plan.
For Cleveland, the goal is to create more efficient drives and put skill position players like KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston in place where they can maximize their strengths.
