Andy Reid Reveals if Travis Kelce Is Distracted From Football Amid Wedding Preparations
With wedding speculation swirling around Travis Kelce, some critics question his focus. But Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid isn't buying it, insisting that the star tight end is not distracted at all.
"He's been here most of the offseason, if not the whole offseason; he's been around," Reid said during his June 11 news conference as per NFL.com. “It's good to have him here. He did the mandatory camp and did a nice job there, so good to have him back in and rolling. You see no distractions with that and the wedding.”
According to Page Six, the wedding is set to take place on July 3 at Madison Square Garden, and both the bride and groom are busy preparing for the big day. However, despite his busy schedule, Reid expressed that Travis is pretty focused on the game.

"If it's like when I got married, my wife did everything. I just kind of followed her lead on it. Showed up, right?" said the coach as reported by NFL.com. "Maybe he's doing more, but he looks like he's pretty focused on this job, too."
Few players can match Kelce’s stacked resume. The Chiefs star has racked up 1080 catches, more than 13000 receiving yards, and 82 touchdowns. The four-time All-Pro has three Super Bowl rings and a spot on the NFL’s 2010 All-Decade Team.
However, after falling short of his Super Bowl LX expectations and seeing Kansas City miss the playoffs for the first time since 2014, Kelce wasn’t ready to retire. He was re-signed by the Chiefs for a 14th NFL season, while crediting Taylor Swift for playing the part to motivate him for a return.
That said, will the team be there for the wedding, considering their packed game schedule? Well, let’s have a look.
Andy Reid Is Locked In for Travis Kelce’s Wedding
When asked whether the Kansas City coach would be at his star tight end's wedding, Reid wouldn't give anything away.
"Can't talk about it," Reid said when asked if he'd been invited, as per NLF.com.
Well, Big Red tried to keep it under wraps, but it appears his tailor couldn't keep the secret. A Kansas City tailor recently shared photos of Chiefs head coach Reid, general manager Brett Veach, and head athletic trainer Rick Burkholder getting fitted for their tuxedos.
Meanwhile, Kelce no longer has the same speed he once did. Yet he remained one of the league's top tight ends in 2025, recording 851 receiving yards, which ranked him fourth at his position.
In the Chiefs’ season-ending game, Kelce reached 13,000 receiving yards faster than any tight end before him and secured 75 receptions for the 10th straight year, tying Tim Brown's NFL record.
Reid’s remarks about Kelce staying focused on his game while preparing for his wedding point to a player determined to add more records to his résumé this season.
