Andrew Berry’s Twin Brother Earns Major Role With Eagles Following Latest Decision
The Berrys are creating a legacy for themselves in the NFL. The Browns’ GM, Andrew Berry, is shaping the future of the Cleveland Browns. Simultaneously, his twin brother, Adam Berry, is moving up the ranks at the Philadelphia Eagles’ front office.
The Philadelphia Eagles promoted Adam Berry to assistant general manager as part of a significant front-office restructuring. Berry, who joined the organization in 2023, succeeds long-time executive Alec Halaby. The move marks a rapid ascent for the former Goldman Sachs executive ahead of the 2026 season.
“The Eagles are promoting Adam Berry to assistant GM, sources tell me and @rapsheet, furthering a fast-paced climb in the NFL for the former Goldman Sachs executive,” announced NFL reporter Mike Garafolo on X. “The brother of Browns’ GM Andrew Berry, Adam originally joined Philly’s front office in 2023.”
The news of Adam Berry’s promotion came via Garafolo last night. The Eagles are promoting him to assistant GM after the departure of Alec Halaby, who was with the Eagles for 17 years. NFL Reporter John McMullen says that Adam’s broad portfolio and deep institutional knowledge made him the best person for the job after Halaby.
According to Glenn Erby of the Eagles Wire, Adam was the head of US loan trading at Goldman Sachs from 2009 to 2023. He left his Wall Street job to join the Philadelphia Eagles as their director of football operations and strategy in 2023. He has played a key role in overseeing player personnel, managing cap strategies, and handling contract negotiations.
The Berry twins’ love for football stemmed from a young age. They started playing tackle football in their middle school, according to Christopher D. Wright, writer at the Harvard Crimson.
Andrew also served as the quarterback during their time at Bel-Air High School in Maryland. He went to Harvard and later became the youngest GM in NFL history at 35 years old.
Adam Berry went on to become the wide receiver at Princeton University and was voted as the team captain in his senior year. He completed his bachelor’s degree in economics, minoring in political economy and African American studies.
Interestingly, Andrew Berry was also associated with the Philadelphia Eagles, serving as their VP of Player Personnel from 2016 to 2018. From the football fields in Bel-Air to front offices in the NFL, the Berry brothers have come a long way.
A wave of changes at the Philadelphia Eagles’ front office
John McMullen, an NFL reporter, says that the Eagles had numerous additions and promotions across the football operations and scouting departments.
The Eagles brought in their long-time personnel and former New York Jets GM, Mike Maccagnan, as their personnel executive. Another former Jets GM, Joe Douglas, is now promoted to Senior VP of Player Personnel.
On the scouting side, Phil Baya is promoted to VP of Player Personnel, while Alan Wolking is now the VP of Football Operations and Strategic Initiatives. Many others at the Eagles’ front office saw their job titles go to the next level.
After adding what appears to be a strong draft class, the Eagles are making notable changes in their front office to prepare for the 2026 NFL season.
