Andrew Berry Wins Over Fans With Surprising Second Round Pick

The Dawg Pound tuned in to the draft day 2, hoping for offensive reinforcement. The Cleveland Browns first sparked debate at No. 24 with KC Concepcion and his drop concerns. Now, with their pick, Andrew Berry has brought in another wide receiver.

On 24th April, the Browns used their third pick, 39th overall, to rope in WR Denzel Boston. In an X post, they announced their latest addition.

“Receiver room gets another boost! Denzel Boston, welcome to the squad.”

Though ESPN had the Browns drafting a guard in their mock draft yesterday, the franchise surprisingly doubled down on strengthening their offense.

Boston is a 22-year-old who has appeared in 43 career games across four seasons at the Washington Huskies. He totaled 132 receptions for 1,781 yards and scored 20 touchdowns.

He carried the ball only once in his four games, in the 2022 season, for two yards and scored one rushing touchdown.

In his best year in 2025, 11 TDs and 881 receiving yards, Boston was a consensus Third-Team All-Big Ten player.

He brings a much-needed additional depth to the Browns’ WR Room, which was a low-production unit last season.

Out of the 107 times Harold Fannin Jr. was targeted, he caught the ball successfully 72 times. The leading WR scored six TDs for 731 yards, with no receiver in the department reaching the 1,000-yard mark.

The Browns’ WRs and offense, by extension, were one of the poorest in 2025. ESPN ranked the team’s receiving yards second last across the league (2,808 yards).

With Boston’s addition, the Browns have fulfilled one of their most pressing needs. And fans couldn’t be happier.

Browns’ Fans Are Happy With GM Andrew Berry

Under the Browns’ announcement post, fans came together to express their glee over the pick.

One fan commented that Cleveland is celebrating this pick.

“ITS A PARADE INSIDE MY CITY YEAHHHHH,” the fan wrote.

One praised Berry’s decision, saying the GM is ensuring quarterback Shedeur Sanders would be backed up well.

“Andrew Berry cooking for Shedeur! Thank youuuuu,” the comment read.

Other comments shared similar sentiments and praised the move.

“Browns loading up on Weapons,” one comment read.

One football fan even admitted they wanted Boston for Las Vegas and praised the pick.

“D******. I wanted him for my Raiders ..what a steal,” the user said.

Most importantly, Berry has ignited hope among the Browns’ fans. With two out of their three initial picks being receivers, there's reason to believe they have depth in the receiving department.

“Well I’m pleased and happy.  Maybe the tide will turn around,” one fan wrote.

After ending last season with a 5-12 record, Browns fans are vying for a return to postseason football. For now, the fans seem satisfied with Berry.
