Andrew Berry Not Onboard with Jimmy Haslam Over Head Coach Hiring Claims NFL Expert

The drama surrounding Andrew Berry in the Cleveland Browns does not look to end even after Kevin Stefanski's firing, as per an NFL expert's claims.

ESPN Cleveland's sports talk show host, Aaron Goldhammer, formulated a theory in a recent episode. He claimed both Berry and Haslam are conducting separate searches for the head coach.

"Chris, I really feel like there are two searches going on, and this is typical Browns. I feel like on the one hand you've got Haslam pursuing Harbaugh, and on the other hand you've got Andrew Barry's agenda, which is to try to talk to every young unproven wunderkind that he can possibly find."

Haslam might be in pursuit of John Harbaugh because he is a Super Bowl-winning coach who was born in Cleveland. And on top of that, he grew up with hardcore Browns fans. But him coming to the Browns threatens Berry.

As per reports, Harbaugh has demanded put forward some demands to join the Browns. This is $20 million per year, a $10 million budget for assistant head coach, and most importantly, full control over the team and the freedom to bring in his own general manager.

"And so there's a small chance that Jimmy's pursuit works and that he wins out, but if not, sort of the fallback option is one of these guys that Andrew is talking to," Goldhammer said.

Will the Browns follow Andrew Berry’s reported choice

Insider reports have said that they have requested an interview with Harbaugh, but there have been no developments in that story. Insider reports also suggest that he might not be coming to the Cleveland Browns after all.

American Journalist, Tom Pelissero, reported on X, "Former Ravens coach John Harbaugh continues to gather information on potential destinations, and the expectation is he’ll interview with the Giants, Titans and Falcons by the end of the week. Other teams remain interested. But those three appear to have the inside track."

As of now, the Browns have interviewed Mike McDaniel, Todd Monken, Aden Durde, Dan Pitcher, Jim Schwartz, and Tommy Rees for head coach. Who would you like to see as their next head coach if the team fails to land Harbaugh?
